Scrapbooking Loses a Friend

On the morning of Wed. April 23rd the scrapbooking community has lost a dear friend.
Tracy Corneil died at her home. For those of you who don't know Tracy she was the co-owner of the Scrapbook Hideaway Scrapbook Store. The thing I remember most about Tracy was when she helped with a scrapbook of my niece Zoe who was dying. My sister in law hadn't done anything with the little loves pictures because she was so sick for the entire 2 years of her life. So when we got news that she was going to die in the next couple of weeks I wanted to do something for my brother and sister in law. So Tracy helped me in 2 days put together a 12 x 12 scrapbook for them. It was so awesome. On top of it all she gave me 30% off my entire purchase-she stayed with me really late at night to get it done and I will never forget her for that.
Thank yo Tracy-
There is really no explanation for all of this. The last couple of weeks I have had to go in the SS a lot (I have had a lot of projects for school/holidays etc.) and I was thinking about a week ago, man I have been in this store more in the last couple of weeks than I have the entire year. Last night it hit me-the good Lord wanted me to be able to see Tracy before it was her time. I still really don't understand and I know God doesn't expect me to, but I know that he has got one heck of a scrapbooker by his side now and she's up there scrapbookin the heavens!!

A few new projects

This weekend I have been working to get a couple of projects done. I completed this little mini-album from close to my heart. It is for my mom for mothers day. The second little lunch box is a gift for my son's manners teachers at school. Each week they come in and have a manners lesson (great idea huh) anyhow in about a month they are going to the country club for a formal dinner-and they have to be prepared to use their manners. So these are the little boxes for each of the manners teachers.
I hope your Monday was good-we had soccer, school, and errands.
Have a great night.

SIDEWAYS SALLY

OKAY the picture was upright and it looked like I was really going to get it-but look at it -It is sideways-I am so sorry-but please look anyway!!

Thank you Papa

I was having issues with my jars-they are so big and get in the way-
they were sitting in the window-see one of my previous posts-
I saw this picture in a magazine of a shelving unit for storage and
fell in love with it. My father in law-bless his heart- said let me take
a look at it and I probably can build it. Well here it is-it fits perfect
in my room under my scrapbook table and I LOVE IT!!!-
It gets my jars out of the way-but still in reach and it adds a new touch
to my room-so thank you PAPA! By the way I finally hiked the M this weekend
and I think my hips are mad at me because they really hurt-and it was a lot
of fun-even our little dog griz went-so if he hiked to the top I had to do
it!

You are going to all quit reading my blog if I don't figure out how to edit my pictures I am sorry-just hang with me.
So the first photo goes with a funny story. My dear friend Ambers daughter, Kenidy is 6 years old, and she gives us her clothes that she grows out of-nice huh? Well my daughter loves stuff from Kenidy. You could take her to the mall and buy her an outfit from any store, and nope she wants the goods from Kenidy. (She loves Kenidy) and I am okay with that too-so to cut to the chase two days ago we received this cute pair of shoes from Kenidy. My little girl was drawn to them immediatly. Well the next day she wore the shoes and that evening I came in her room and she had one of her baby wet wipes (the kind from Costco, they are her "cleaning wipes") and she was cleaning her shoes from Kenidy. I asked what she was doing and she replied, "mom I have to take care of these shoes, they are from Kenidy." Now why dosen't she take care of her expensive tennis shoes that we got from the mall? I think Kenidy just needs to design her own clothing line???
The next post is a little book of mine. It is a chipboard book that contains my favorite quotes. The pages are baseball card pages and when ever I get a favorite quote I stick them in there. I love quotes and it is really fun to collect them.
I hope you are all having a good week.
Oh yeah-who is from Marysville-If you e-mail me or post to me with your name and address-I will send out a scrapbook surprise for you!! I hope you scrapbook???

Hiking the the M and Star-Girl Book

My husband is on this fitness run and part of it has been hiking to the M-The kids have done it twice this weekend and they love it. I love the picture with the view-
They had so much fun and it was a beautiful weekend for a hike or two.
The other photo is a book that I made from my retreat weekend. I cut out the stars with my friend Kaylenes Big cricut- I cut all the paper stars out from my minds eye paper-Then I hand cut 8 star chipboard pieces. I glued on the paper and sewed the edges around the stars. I then placed photos, embellishments, etc. It was a lot of fun. I hope you all had a great weekend!

Sweet Molly!

My husband brought home this little surprise from my friend Molly Thayer.
She found out that I love this "certain" type of iced tea. She found the tea and created this little box-what a great scrapbooker she is!!! It is such a cute idea-thank you Molly-I enjoyed my tea this weekend.
My husband took the kids to hike the M hill this weekend and this morning I found a tick on my little girls head-so the ticks are out-I really don't like those little things-So we flushed it down the toliet-
Scrapbooking with my friends last night was a lot of fun-A lot of laughter and dong and re-doing a project that I was working on. Maybe I will post it later when I get it done if that ever happens.
Have a good night-

You may never see it again . . .

I could not stand it any longer-so last night at 9:00 I started to MUCK out the mess that has been accumulating for months. I had to get organized before I did one more project. My sweetie hung the wall pegs for my bags, and I cleaned until I had it all done. It feels so good to be clean and organized. I found a few things I have been looking for, and it made me feel like I got something new!!
I love my little organizer on my table top. A couple of years ago I bought it at Pottery Barn, and it is one of my favorite things.
I took all of my jars and labeled them. Thanks to Stephanies cute HH font-
Great day-my Dad came over today and surpised the kids and picked them up from school-We had dinner together and it was a lot of fun! I got to try a new salad recipe that I will post later.
I hope you are all having a great week!
